A LITTLE BIT MORE

Some progress is better than none. My main stitching focus has been on my pandemic project, the B.O.M, despite still having a few UFOs. I am now awaiting October's pattern to do some more stitcheries so fabric auditioning has been my focus and finishing off those little needle turned stitcheries on some blocks. I have done 2 of those and have this one ready to do. I am finding the oval shape a bit challenging.

August's block has been pieced.

Here are the blocks all together with the 3rd row ( September's block) ready for auditioning.

Today I have pinned the final border on my Little Lucy quilt ready for needle turning. I had nearly forgetten about it so decided to get on with it straight away. Maybe I will have a pic of it next post. Fingers crossed.

Angel Blessings and many healing hugs to those I know are unwell.

BLESSED

Another week of stage 4 lockdown . Tourists have arrived en masse from uptown ignoring the 5km radius limit and curfew . Here am I going out one day a week for supplies not even being able to travel 15 minutes to my daughter's yet those special entitled people can travel around 80km plus???  This pandemic is very different from the ones 100 and 200 years ago. People never had the comforts and technology that we do, well, most of us. They really did it hard. It is my youngest daughter's birthday today and I haven't seen her since February but we have had the luxury of texting, phoning and video chats. I just enjoyed a lovely video chat with her to say happy birthday and see what gifts she has received. We are so blessed .

Anyhoo, I digress. July's block has been pieced . I haven't yet needle turned that added piece and I need to do the same with other blocks.

Some of the squares for the borders have been prepared ready to needleturn the hexies on them. I am doing hexies instead of circles and have fussy cut some of them.

I have finished another book. Despite the depressing life he lead , this memoir was told in quite a humourous way and I found myself giggling quite a lot. This book is one of my  favourites. I only have 2 other favourites...The Mists of Avalon, and Years of Wonder. ( or was it Year of Wonders? )

I would love to know if you have lifelong favourite books.

Angel Blessings.

P.S...still getting used to new blogger.

NOOOOOO!

Here we go again. I am having so much trouble navigating this new blogger. My BP is already up and now blogging is stressful. Ah well, let's see what happens.

It has been a slow week stitching as hubby has been unwell again and I have had some health issues . Don't we all?  Anyhoo, an ECG and Echocardiogram are booked for me this week and the next...as usual, one place can't do both and I have to go to 2 different places.

So, the only stitching that has been done are the final 2 stitcheries for September, no more to do until October and I finally pieced the June block. Now I am struggling auditioning fabrics for July's. At least I dug out a couple of more fabrics hidden away.

I hope you are keeping safe and well.

Angel Blessings.

JUST STITCHING

As you can see from my last few posts I have only been focused on one project, the B.O.M . I am proud to say that despite joining several months into the project I have caught up with all the stitcheries. Here is the last of August's.

There was a glitch receiving September's on time but all is well and I have stitched 2 and have one in my hoop.

Unfortunately, I am struggling with fabric auditioning again. I am fiddling around with June's block. After 3 days I still can't make up my mind.

That line across the pic is sunlight through the blinds. Sorry.

Another book is now on my "read" book shelves. I would describe it as being a light thriller.

The sun is shining today with a light breeze. Blossom is appearing and the beautiful coloured parrots strut along in pairs along the side fence . I welcome some warmth and cheery sunshine.

Keep safe and well.

Angel Blessings.

A BIT HERE, A BIT THERE

Weekly blogging is hard to keep up with lately as my crafty progress is slow these days. Health challenges often get in the way of product...
