When I started colouring I only had my 24 set Prismacolor Premiere pencils I had bought a few years earlier. There are 150 in total . Sometimes a limited palette can be challenging but it can also help to experiment blending different colours together to create new colours. However, over time, I decided to buy more colours as I needed them and have been buying them from open stock which are less expensive. My recent purchase brings my collection to 120 and I probably won't need any more.
My recent delivery.
I only purchase online because there are no real art shops down here anymore. There is a local shop I buy some things from but they have limited brands and stock. They also sell books and jigsaw puzzles.
The first thing I did was sharpen all the new pencils before putting them in my pencil case. A really sharp pencil is essential to achieve desired effects.
Sorry about the background. I work on the back of my cutting mat and it is a bit well used.
Now for my WIPs. I have added the hair and some details on my witch's hat. ( Hannah Karlzon's ' Tales From the Witch's Cottage'). I had some help from a You Tube video for her hair. Now I am stuck trying to decide how to do the rest.
My squirrel is coming along nicely. ( Sarah Renae Clark's 'Vibrant Wilds'). This reminds me of a quilt I made a few years ago called Henrietta Whiskers. Lots of hand applique.
I completed another floral page from Colouring Heaven using the waterbrush markers I bought at Kmart a while ago. I added gold gel pen, white gel pen and a glittery black gel pen which does not show up in the pic.
Last night I finally managed to put in an appearance at the Zoom meeting. Yey! It was good to see you all and hear what you are all up to. Keep cool if you are in Australia and keep warm if you are overseas experiencing snowstorms.
