BACK TO THE CIVIL WAR

After unpicking the triple half triangle rows that were sewn onto some of the large half square triangles of my latest little Civil War quilt I put my brain into gear and completed hand stitching the unattached blocks in their rows. It won't look as good but at least I am working on it and shall keep doing so until all the rows are sewn together. I just hope I have the right fabrics in my stash for borders and backing.

I promised myself I would complete UFOs this year and finish projects that I start. Now I want to make something with all the little half square triangles, ( there are many more than shown on the right) , and shall enjoy playing with them until I come up with an idea.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and keeping safe and well.

A FINISH

I have been plodding along with my projects between 2 FMS flare ups this past week. Our weather is all over the place with some lovely warm or hot days , which I much prefer, but much cooler days thrown in. It is these cooler days that cause my flare ups and I am not amused. One would not know that we are in the middle of summer. So, what have I finished? Well, I added a few extra bits to the embroidery which I copied from the designer's pic and completed it yesterday. I just need to find a frame or hoop to hang it.

A few more rows have been added to my blanket. It is so good to have a project that I can just pick up and put down whenever the mood takes me .

It is a beautiful warm day today and I am sitting outside listening to the pretty parrots in our apple tree and enjoying some peace while I can. I hope you are keeping safe and well.

ZOOMING ALONG

Yesterday was such a lovely day stitching along on Zoom with many bloggers thanks to Chooky.  It was so nice to sit, stitch and chat. Thankyou all you lovely gals for making it a great day.

I made some progress with my embroidery now that I have been reinspired.
